We are looking to hire a PhD student to work on a project on visual disorders in dyslexia.

Project Overview: the successful candidate will work on an exciting project aimed at clarifying the prevalence and characteristics of visual disorders in dyslexia, as well as at exploring methods to alleviate these disorders. This research will contribute to a better understanding of both dyslexia and the visual system, with the potential to impact interventions.
Key Responsibilities: the candidate will design and implement experiments to investigate the prevalence and characteristics of visual disorders in individuals with dyslexia, as well as test interventions aimed at alleviating visual disorders associated with dyslexia. The candidate will also analyze data using appropriate statistical methods, prepare research findings for publication in peer-reviewed journals and present at academic conferences.
Qualifications: the candidate must hold, or be about to obtain, a master’s degree in speech and language pathology (logopédie), neuropsychology, cognitive psychology, cognitive neuroscience, or related areas. Because most of the participants in our research speak French, we seek a candidate with a very good knowledge of French. Ideally, the candidates have also excellent written and oral communication skills in English, strong teamwork abilities and a strong enthusiasm for scientific research.
What we offer: the initial position is for two year, but it may be renewed up to four years. Start date is flexible.
